About Me

RPC-Provisional, SEP, TCTSY-F, RYT-200, RP Level II

Hi, I’m Meadow (they/them), and I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m a queer, neurodivergent therapist who was late diagnosed with ADHD (inattentive type) and I bring both lived experience and professional training into my work. Outside of therapy work, I’m a parent and a freelance musician. Music has always been a form of emotional expression for me and is something I love to bring into sessions as a support, when appropriate.

Professionally, I’m a Counsellor, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator. I also hold a 200-hour Hatha Yoga certification and Level II Reiki training. I specialize in working with trauma using Somatic Experiencing®️ techniques. I use deep listening, attunement and co-regulation to support, hold space and work with the nervous system and the held trauma's within it. My main areas of interest and expertise are complex trauma, intimate partner abuse, and sexual trauma. I am also informed by feminist theory, existential psychology, emotion-focused therapy, and Gestalt-informed techniques, always through a client centered, trauma informed lens.

I see therapy as a collaborative, empowering process. My goal is to support you in reconnecting with your body, your voice, and your inner wisdom. I strive to level power dynamics, create a space of consent and choice, and hold the belief that you are the expert in your own experience. My work honours the interconnectedness of personal healing and the larger systems that impact our lives.

My path into this profession began with my own healing journey and the deep desire to be in service to those walking their path of growth and self betterment. I am committed to practicing from a place of humility, care, and continued learning. I work from an inclusive stance and am proud to be an ally to the 2SLGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and disabled communities. I also recognize and support the validity and importance of all relationship structures.

Wherever you are in your process, I’m here to support you with curiosity, presence, and care.

How we can work together

I most commonly weave these therapy techniques together in an integrative approach for working with trauma and everyday struggles. The specific formula of our sessions will depend on your preferences and unique needs. That being said, I do offer these treatments separately if you are looking to focus on one modality. Descriptions and prices are listed below to help prepare you for what to expect and to help you choose what approach is right for you.

Counselling Session

In our sessions together, you can expect a compassionate, collaborative space rooted in respect for your unique lived experience. My approach to counselling is client-centered and integrative, drawing from emotion-focused therapy, feminist theory, existentialist thought, and Gestalt techniques.

I believe that you are the expert of your own life and healing. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, reflection, and tools that support your growth and self-discovery. Our work together is about exploring, understanding, and reconnecting with your own inner wisdom.

Sessions often include:

Exploring emotions as messengers that guide us toward healing and meaning, helping you tune into your body and emotional world with curiosity and compassion.

Looking at systems of power and identity through a feminist lens, acknowledging how your unique experiences of gender, race, culture, sexuality, and other identities shape your life and relationships.

Contemplating meaning, choice, and authenticity, drawing from existential principles that support you in living more fully and intentionally, even in the face of uncertainty or suffering.

Using experiential Gestalt techniques such as dialogue, visualization, or somatic awareness to help you deepen insight and shift patterns that may no longer serve you.

Above all, I strive to create a space where power dynamics are leveled, and where your voice is central. You can expect to be met with empathy, honesty, and a deep belief in your capacity to heal and grow.

Length: 60 minutes
Price: $140 per session or sliding scale, if client meets criteria.

Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga

Somatic Experiencing®️ Session (SE)

Somatic Experiencing®️ is a gentle, body-based approach to healing trauma and chronic stress. In our work together, we’ll create a space where your body’s natural wisdom is respected, heard, and trusted. Just like in all areas of my practice, I take a client-centered approach that honours your pace, your boundaries, and your inner knowing.

You are the expert on your body and your experience. My role is to support you in reconnecting with the innate resilience already within you, and to help you listen to what your nervous system is communicating without judgment, urgency, or pressure.

What you can expect in a Somatic Experiencing®️ session:

We’ll explore sensations, images, feelings, movements, and impulses that arise in your body in the present moment, following what feels safe and manageable.

Rather than retelling or analyzing traumatic events, we focus on regulating the nervous system, releasing stored stress, and restoring a sense of safety and connection.

I may offer gentle guiding questions or grounding techniques, but your cues always lead the way. We go at a pace that honours your window of tolerance, with consent and collaboration at the center of every step.

Somatic work can be subtle, profound, and deeply empowering. As we reconnect with your body’s natural rhythms and capacities, we make space for greater freedom, ease, and self-trust. I prioritize safety and consent, and trust in your body’s ability to move toward healing, in its own time.

Length: 60 minutes
Price: $140 per session or sliding scale, if client meets criteria.

Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an evidence-based, body-centered practice designed specifically for people who have experienced complex trauma. This approach invites you to gently reconnect with your body in a way that centers choice, safety, and agency.

TCTSY is not about performance, flexibility, or doing poses “right.” Instead, it’s an opportunity to explore movement and breath as pathways to reclaim a relationship with your body and reconnect with your felt sense.

In a TCTSY session, you can expect:

A non-directive, invitational style of language where all movements are optional and offered as choices. You are always free to participate in the ways that feel right for you, or not at all.

A focus on interoception (your internal sense of what is happening in your body) which can support a deeper sense of connection and presence.

No physical assists, demonstrations, or expectations. This is your practice, guided by your internal experience, not by how it looks from the outside.

A space rooted in feminist and trauma-informed values, where we acknowledge how systems of power and oppression impact our bodies and our sense of safety.

This is a practice of being with, not fixing, forcing, or analyzing. It offers a chance to experience yourself as you are, with curiosity and without judgment. Whether you’re new to yoga or returning to your body after a period of disconnection, TCTSY can be a profoundly gentle and empowering way to support your healing.
